What we collect
- What you give us. Your name, email, phone and messages when you save a search, ask about a home, request a tour or offer, look up a home's value, chat with us, or apply to join the team. When you look up a home's value, we use the address you enter.
- How you use the site. Pages and homes you view, searches you run and homes you save, tied to a random key stored in your browser — not to your name, until you choose to give us your contact details.
- Technical details. Your device and browser type, the page that sent you here, and an approximate city from your IP address. We store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of the IP address, not the address itself.
- Emails and texts. Whether our listing-alert and report emails are opened and which links are clicked, and the calls and texts you exchange with our office line.
- On your device only. Your browser remembers things like homes you recently viewed and contact details you typed, so forms are quicker next time. That stays on your device.
How we use it
- To answer you, send the listing alerts and reports you ask for, and help you buy or sell a home.
- So the agent helping you understands what you're looking for without making you repeat yourself.
- To keep the site working, secure and useful, and to understand which pages help people.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with lead-generation companies or other agents for money. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site and serve you (below), with people you ask us to connect you with, and when the law requires it.
Text messages: mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
Who helps us run the site
Companies that host the site and store data, send email and text messages, provide maps and street imagery, run our phone system, and power the site's chat assistant (which uses AI and may make mistakes). When you look up a home's value, the address is sent to public home-value websites to fetch their estimates. These providers may only use the information to provide their service to us.
Your choices
- Every alert and report email has a link to change or stop it. No login needed.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts; HELP for help.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you: buddy@buddyblake.com or (910) 395‑1000. We may keep records the law or a real estate transaction requires.
- You can clear your browser's site data at any time to remove the key and anything saved on your device.
Security and how long we keep it
We use reasonable safeguards, and keep information as long as we need it to serve you or as the law and real estate record-keeping rules require. No website is perfectly secure.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
