Buying with the Buddy Blake Team

Buying on the coast, without the runaround.

Look at every home for sale on your own time. When you're ready to see some in person, one of our team's buyer agents will help you do it well. (Buddy himself works only with sellers — so he knows exactly what the other side of the table is thinking.)

How buying works here

  1. Look around — no strings

Search every home for sale across our five counties, on a list or a map. No sign-up, no one calling you because you looked.

  2. Get pre-approved

A lender's pre-approval tells you what you can comfortably spend, and sellers expect one with any serious offer.

  3. Meet your agent

In North Carolina, you'll sign a written buyer agreement with an agent before touring homes together. We'll walk you through exactly what it says — in plain English — before you sign anything.

  4. See homes and make an offer

Your agent pulls the recent sales, tells you what they'd offer and why, and writes it up. You decide.

  5. Due diligence

NC contracts give you a due diligence period for inspections, insurance quotes, appraisal and anything else you need to check. The due diligence fee and earnest money work differently — worth understanding before you offer.

  6. Closing

Your agent stays with you through repairs, appraisal and the closing table.

Start with the homes. Search every listing — by town, neighborhood, ZIP or plain English like "3 bed under $500K in Leland with a garage."
